General American

    General American is the most versatile and in-demand accent in the industry. Whether you’re looking to add it to your repertoire or brush up and perfect it for auditions and self-tapes, this 6-week small group workshop will give you everything you need to master Gen Am.

    Sessions are 2 hours and you’ll receive recordings:

    Over six weeks we will look at the accent’s foundations, sounds, rhythm, stress and intonation, taking what we’ve discovered into scene work.

London Accents: An Introduction

    Do you know your Estuary from your Cockney? What about MLE?

    This 6-week course will provide an introduction to some of the most distinctive dialects in London. Spending two weeks each on Cockney, Estuary and Multicultural London English (MLE), we will discover what these accents share and how they differ to make your London accents specific and grounded.

Get Better at Accents

  • Is the prospect of acting in an accent a bit daunting or mysterious for you?

    This 5 week course is for those new to accents and dialects. We will cover the fundamental components of accents (shapes, patterns and sounds), listening and imitation skills, and connecting accent to text.

    Come away with a clear idea of how to break down a dialect, tools for finding and listening to helpful samples, and strategies for taking on any accent.
